Rocking Horses and Other Rocking Toys
Rocking horses are a traditional part of a child's playroom, but are really only suitable in their familiar form for older children.
Babies and toddlers needn't miss out on the fun though, as specially designed rocking toys can be used by babies as young as 6-9 months if there are extra safety features such as a harness and safety rails.
These toys are especially good for babies who are learning to stand and walk, or who are already walking, as the rocking motion develops their balancing skills and encourages confidence.
